Elizabeth Raia is a New York City based producer, actor, writer, and certified crisis counselor. She is passionate about challenging audiences to connect more deeply to their humanity by focusing on suppressed and overlooked communities and individuals through dynamic, empathetic scripted storytelling.
Prior to receiving her BA in Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College, Elizabeth worked and interned in various areas of production, garnering ample time at THE COLBERT REPORT, ABC , VIACOM, and the PGA.
She is an active member of NYWIFT and the JHRTS.
In addition to having acted in over 15 independent films in both leading and supporting roles, Elizabeth recently produced the short films, WAIT and WATERFALL, and is currently producing the feature film, BLOSSOM, which follows a young woman seeking community while in recovery for an eating disorder. She is currently developing the female-focused scripted anthology series, DISRUPTOR, and the limited drama series RUBY, a narrative response to the MMIW crisis.
She lives in NYC with her husband, two rescue kittens, and 47 plants.
